The fellas over at CarScoop managed to get their hands on an official video of the Veracruz, Hyundai's new large CUV that has technically yet to debut. Yesterday a
brochure leaked onto the web pretty much erased Hyundai's element of surprise, and now the video here shows us what the Veracruz looks like in motion as well as the interior.
It appears to be a commercial for the Korean version of the Veracruz, which we learn will come with a 3.0-liter V6 producing 240 horsepower. We're still hopeful the North American version will come with a version of the Azera's much more powerful 3.8-liter V6. Rumor has it that the Veracruz will be officially unveiled tomorrow, so perhaps after that we can stop pretending to be so excited about another CUV. Yay
Hyundai has also erected a digital domain for the new Veracruz, a.k.a. a minisite, which can be found
here, although it's more just fun with flash than substance at the moment.
