Click the image for a high-res gallery.Mazda released information on its new Deuce early this morning and by "information" we mean PR-ified empty calories. The press release, posted after the jump, just gives the details on when (exactly) the new Mazda2 will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show and quickly points out that the new Two is not just some refreshed POS, but a thorough redesign that adheres to Mazda's two-word corporate mantra: Zoom-Zoom.
After a bit more snooping, we came across two more pics (posted in the
gallery) at
Auto Motor Und Sport, along with some engine choices. The Mazda2 will come equipped with either a 1.3-liter producing 85 HP or a 1.5-liter, making somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 HP.
We'd like to pit this new Mazda2 against the Fit and Yaris in a compact death match, so we're hoping that Mazda has the foresight to bring the Two (or in Japan, the Demio) to U.S. shores soon.
